Santa Fe section foreman's house

What we know

Built about 1892 by the Santa Fe for its Palmer Lake section foreman; given by the Santa Fe to the Palmer Lake Historical Society on April 3, 1961 and moved across the tracks next to the Town Hall that October; the community library and museum opened in it on Feb. 22, 1964, and it became town offices in 1982 when the Lucretia Vaile Library-Museum opened (Marian McDonough and Grace Best in Sabin, S-0019, pp. 114-15, 128; the library's cataloger gives 1962). It is the 1976 survey's 'library & museum' (B53); the town police station in 2026, per the library's cataloger (PPLD record of survey B53).
