Palmer Divide Research

Contribute

Most of what survives about the small places on the divide is in family hands: letters, photographs, deeds, plat maps, school records and stories. If you have any of it, or know where something stood, we'd like to hear from you.

What helps most

  • Locations. Where a house, school, mill, post office or grave stood, and how you know.
  • Corrections. If a page is wrong, say what's wrong and what source shows it.
  • Documents and photographs. Scans or phone photos are fine. Tell us what they show and when they date from.
  • Family history. Who lived where, and when; what they did; what they told.
  • Places we've missed. Anything with a story that isn't on the map yet.

What happens next

Your note and files come to Michael Christensen privately. Nothing is published straight from the form. When something checks out, it goes into the research and onto the site at the next update, credited the way you ask: by name, by initials, or not at all. Corrections are noted on the page they correct. You keep the copyright in anything you send.

Prefer email? Write to contact@palmerdivideresearch.com. See the privacy page for what the form collects.

Send us what you know

Corrections, family stories, photographs, deeds, letters and maps are all welcome. Messages and files come to Michael Christensen privately; nothing appears on the site until it has been checked, and you'll be credited the way you ask.
