What we know

Julius Aubuchon's homestead of 1882, grown to 680 acres; barn, silo and a two-story frame house in 1976 (PPLD record of survey B37; the 1987 Black Forest Preservation Plan's Map 2 No. 6). Aubuchon gave the land for Pine Grove School in 1912.

Where it was

'On County Line Road, 10 miles east of Palmer Lake' (PPLD record of survey photo B37); the 1987 Black Forest Preservation Plan's Map 2 puts it just east of Pine Grove School (No. 5). Placed about a mile east of GNIS's Pine Grove School point, on the south side of the road. Good to about half a mile.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
