Fox and fur farmsHistoric or vanishedEl Paso County

What we know

Phil Fishbeck's farm, from the early 1930s. He specialized in black-silver foxes and developed a platinum-silver variety (von Ahlefeldt p. 92; his daughter Mildred Hardgrove was her source).

Where it was

'Just south of Shoup on Hering Road' (Ellett p. 65); 'on Herring Road' (von Ahlefeldt p. 92). Placed about 0.15 mile south of the Shoup-Herring junction in OpenStreetMap; good to about a quarter mile.

Placed from a written description, such as a land section, a distance from a landmark or an old survey note.
